Alright, since I can't seem to remember my high school english, i need any english majors to tell me the literary term for the 18/19th century thing where a person's inner beauty/ugliness is reflected in their outward appearance? Thanks if you can help...

Nice Minendo. Ugh, I should know this too. It was like in literature, if a person was a whore/prostitue/etc, then their description would be like "A dark line creased their face, eyes half-hidden in the shadows of his scraggly beard, half-filled mouth bursting with rotten teeth."
