All drivers installed but still no audio

I have integrated audio on my ECS P4800PRO-M motherboard and I've installed all the audio drivers but there still isnt any sound. I've tried multiple speakers and headphones so I know its something to do with the motherboard. Anybody know what could be going on?

Do you have onboard sound enable in the BIOS? It happened to me once. Also, do you have the speaker icon in the system tray?

if what cprince said is true (device shows up in device manager, all the volumes are at 100%, and you even went as far as trying reinstalls of the OS), and you still dont have sound. you are right, it is the mobo, and that means rma.

I'm thinking of something much simpler. Since you have the speaker icon in the system tray, then your audio driver is properly installed. Check to see if pins 5-6 and 9-10 of the audio header(one the motherboard) are shorted. Short them if they are not. This will bypass front audio, and use only the back panel audio. Plug your speaker into the line out jack and check to see if you can hear anything. Also, tab on the case to see if you can hear anything on the speaker. If you can, then there is a short with the motherboard and the case. I had this happened to me with a BioStar motherboard.
