I built my dad's Opty 165 system in this and it works fine as any other case.

edit: no free shipping anymore 🙁

Doesn't look too bad.

I'd much rather have removable drive cages though, because I don't swap out mobos too often.

for aluminuim it's pretty good price. I bought a Antec non-alum with a soso PS for 70 bucks not too long ago. So in comparison this is excellent.

yeah i know it says that. But i own it and can tell you the front is 92mm/80mm and the back is 92mm. I'll take pics if you need me to

Great deal, but whats with the rear case fan?

It is a 80mm fan that vents out the back.

🙂 I realize it is a fan that vents out the back of the case. I was referring to the fact that the way it mounts is parallel to the motherboard tray, where as most cases, the rear fan is parallel to the back, perpendicular to the motherboard tray.

l0cke, does the case come with the cover for the 3.5" bay area? It looks like it's missing it in the pic. I need to know cuz I won't be using a floppy drive. LMK, thanks.

pics would be cool, just to see what this looks like IRL. the web pics are kinda... white on white or something.

EDIT: seems like the exhast fan pulls from right over the CPU cooler. wonder what that does for airflow...

doesn't come with a second 3.5" floppy cover. I just used a plastic one from an old case.

And the back fan does mount weird, but doesan't hit the stock opty cooler. i'll try to get some temps later.

You have first-hand knowledge and I only read it on the site.
Knowledge trumps! 😀😀😀

lOcke: how is the noise level of the included fan? How is the noise level overall? Would you say this is a good case to build a quiet system on?

How rare a deal is this price for an aluminum case?

I'm eyeing those 4x 3.5" harddrive bays in the picture, my current midtower case just has 3x 3.5"bays and one always gets taken by the diskette drive

Its a hell of a time fitting drives into this thing and still keeping some airflow going between them, 5.25" mount kits only give two more usable bays that still reach the ide cables

The case on this site seems to have 4 dedicated bays for harddrives and a separate bay for a diskette drive? its hard to see from the picture

The side panels are very bare. They would be greta for putting some sound dapening mat on. As for the included fan, I'm running it right now with 9 other fans, so i can't tell you. However, my dad got 2 Vantec theraflows for his and it stays quiet. like under 40db (his psu was thermal-sensing also). i'll try to get some pics soon!

I'm running 3 Panaflos and they are the quietest casefans I've ever heard
I tried high CFM Sunon fans before when I used to overclock... those things were ridiculously loud but moved huge air

Right now the GPU fan on my videocard is the loudest thing in my case

They changed the price and haven't updated it on the product page. Price shows, $34.99, but when added to cart, it's $42.88.

You probably need to select "Additional 92mm Case Fans:" to "None"
