The S4 looks to me like it takes much better pictures the iPhone 5. The iphone 5 has a good camera, but it is not that great to be honest. The Lumia 920, Galaxy Note II, Optimus G Pro and HTC One all take better photos imo.

I don't know where you looked, but if you simply Google something like "Galaxy S4 vs iPhone 5 camera" you will see overwhelming proof that iPhones shots are consistently better when it comes to indoor shots, evening shots and night shots.

If you are on t-mobile, it would probably be best to get the t-mobile version since it will support AWS HSPA+?
T-mobile version is SGH-M919.
We'll see when the T-Mobile version actually arrives, but it may be the best one to get for AT&T customers too... If, that is, it's free of bootloader issues and--like the T-Mobile iPhone 5 and Note 2 I believe--is fully compatible with AT&T bands.

For to wrap my hands around one today. Crazy how much bezel they eliminated and how very similar, size-wise, to a SGS3 it is.

Screen is really nice. Have to hold it pretty close to see any kind of screen door effect and I'd never hold it that close to my face in any kind of usage case.

The One and the SGS4 are so close this year. HTC did a great job of timing it's release so close to the SGS4 so that it wouldn't get drowned like it did last year.

It really comes down to what extra features you're looking for. I'd still pick the One because I don't care about a removable battery or mSD expansion. The front facing speakers and LCD screen still pull me towards the One but you seriously couldn't go wrong either way at this point.

Does anybody know when we will see an extended batteries (unofficial or official) for the S4? I have my S4 on order, but I really enjoyed having an extended battery for my S3 not just for the extra battery life, but also for it made the phone easier to hold. I do not mind phones being a 1/2 inch thick for to me it is easier to hold.

My Sprint S4 just arrived on 4/26. Absolutely love it so far. Still mucking my way around, but it's an amazing device. I have yet to find a wireless tether that works though.

No idea why you are linking to a Russian site which I've never heard of. A few tests I've seen, the results are quite close with no overwhelming winner:

Clearly you don't know Eldar then. He's widely respected as a phone reviewer and enthusiast. Ever notice the early phone reviews always come out on the Russian sites? Meh. This guy's been around ever since I've been following phones in 2005 or so.

I like the sounds of the One, but I have had a horrible experience with Thunderbolt. It was great for the first few months and then features just stopped working. Now if I hit the button to call someone it lags by up to 5 minutes before calling. Ringer works intermittently. Every app lags. Thing is just a complete p.o.s. Then to top it all off HTC only put out like one update for it, until about a month ago they finally upgraded the version of Android for it. After 18 months. Thanks guys....I would never buy another HTC product, and I think anyone that does is just asking for trouble.

VZ Note 2 was unlocked via leak, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Otherwise I'm almost certain the T-Mo one will work 100% on AT&T, including LTE.

Why is there a locked bootloader anyway? Is it because of the phone unlocking law being sunsetted?
No, that's SIM-lock only. Root/jailbreak/flashing was explicitly reaffirmed.

It's because AT&T is insisting. Pretty sure their One isn't supposed to work on the unlock site either, though I assume at this point HTC is intentionally dragging their feet on "fixing" that.
