The "G" 520P was $519? Sure that wasn't a "E-540"? That's a good price.
The P is the one with the silver case. Matches my Antec 660-II metalic grey case pretty well.

Yeah and Muse said Techonweb.com had it for $573 shipped a month ago.

I'm also seeing a refurb on pricegrabber.com for $599. I don't know about refurbs though. For just a little more $648 you got it new with full warranty.

I didn't hear it mentioned that CRTs emmit Xrays whereas LCDs do not. Just a thought for the whole CRT vs LCD swing in this thread. I am happy with my Dell 1900FP.

That's IF you don't have to pay taxes. I'm in California. Do I have to pay taxes with this deal? That would be $53.46 at .0825 tax rate.

Yes, I'm sure it was the CPD-G520, and Bentvalve said he got it shipped for $519, but they jacked up the prices a few weeks ago. Read this thread. BV says he paid $519. "...$650- 20% w/ free shipping." Did they just jack things up for the Xmas season? In the computer realm prices generally descend, right?? What's up with this?

I doubt that xrays or other radiation is much of an issue nowadays since TCO compliance kicked in.

I'm looking to get a 19" flat screen CRT (I would prefer a black one)...which of the ones Dell offers do you think is the best quality? Is there anywhere I can go to read reviews on these?

21" is a bit too pricey for me.

RE:"I doubt that xrays or other radiation is much of an issue nowadays since TCO compliance kicked in."

True plus...flat screens emit less radiation out the front than curved screens. Also after about 18 inches it drops way off. With a 21 inch monitor you'llprobably be 36 inches or more away.

19" monitor deal

Here's a deal my friend just got:

Pricematch this monitor at Dell

to the same one at Staples

and use a $30 off 150 (google or use your favorite coupon site). There's a coupon that expires tomorrow so hurry up.

They can't charge you shipping since Dell gives free shipping.
With CA tax and everything my friend got this monitor for $143 and change.
