not sure. But some say I/O magic (iomagic.com) and the rebates (http://www.rebateservices.com/ are down since mid-Dec) so caution and at your own risk.

Staples has a Pacific Digital 32X10X40 external CDRW drive (item # 501806) for 89.98 - 20MIR, add some maxell CDR ($12.94, item # 430570 - 10 MIR), use 20off100 coupon you found... about the same price. but may be a more sure rebate return.

I got a 48x12 and had to return it because it didn't like my media. My liteons never have coughed anything up tho.

or you can get a cyberdrive at 40x16x48 from new egg cheaper($48). never had one give me any problems yet. And no mir's, or looking for coupons. and if you don't live in California no tax either . only thing is you'd have to wait for shipping, instead of local store pick up you can do with OMax.
