*Alive again* Canon S200 Color BubbleJet Printer @ Buy.com for $15.99

Buy.com has the Canon S200 printer for $15.99 as their price mistake of the day, which they seem to have changed to "deal of the day." Looks like you can't even get ink for that much these days. link

Edit: I guess it's their price mistake of the day(s) now.

That's the point - ink costs $40/cart, but they draw you into the cycle with the printer purchase. Good deal for a throwaway printer though.

Shipping for 10 was around $58 when I checked, so that puts your price around $21 per printer shipped if you wanted to go the "disposable" route. I can see some business with 100 of these in a stoarge room and just replacing them when the ink runs out, lol.

Canon's inks are usually cheaper than competitors' ink. This one for example, genuine black cartridge only costs $7 and color cartridge only costs $18.50

I guess this one might be a good deal.

Canon inks are cheaper because the printheads are built into the printers rather than on the cartridges like HP.

I needed a cheap printer and picked one up yesterday. Thanks!

Question though... my mom placed an order with monsterinkjets a few weeks ago and hasn't received it yet. Are they definitely reliable? I bought this printer with the intention of getting cheap ink for it.

Did you or your mom try contacting the company? The would be the easiest method of answering your question.

I'm in, this in combination with the 1.25 carts from monsterinkjets.com has to be the hottest ink jet deal ever! Amen to Canon not putting patented technology into their print carts! If you do put patented technology into replacement parts (you know who you people are). I will never buy anything from you again.

It looks like a paper towel dispenser in a public bathroom. Perhaps I will nail it to my wall and print scanner images of paper towels.

oh snap. price looks like it went back up to 19.99 just as i started browsing it at 14.99.
if i somehow find freeship i'll probably pick this up.

Use the link, it was the only way to get the 15.99. Searching gets the 19.99.

All this talk about buying the printer and just throwing it away when it runs out of ink.... Isn't there a sense of environmental responsiblity that needs to be considered? This, as all printers, are big pieces of basically unrecyclable metal and plastic. Have a heart!
