One thing that's funny (from the Yahoo article on this topic):

The White House and Sen. John Cornyn (news, bio, voting record), R-Texas, a member of the Judiciary Committee, dismissed any link between the 1984 memo to Bush's authorization of electronic surveillance without a warrant to thwart terrorism.

"Any connection between Judge Alito's 1984 memorandum and the current discussion of terrorist surveillance by the NSA is a real stretch," Cornyn said in a statement.

But I'm sure ol' Cornyn doesn't mind engaging in the distortion from the right in slamming (falsely) Clinton and Carter for spying on Americans. That's not a stretch at all. No siree.

Where did Harvey ever state he had blind faith in any party? He stated (and I don't know if it was somewhat tongue-in-cheek or not) that he was "proud of it" (alluding to being a liberal).

Where does that state blind faith in a political party? And, which party would that be?
