are you asking the OP or fishark? I will assume fishark:

it means that this has absolutely NOTHING to do with alignment.
Alignment and defragmenting are different things.

and don't worry, the windows vista and above built in defrag utility is excellent, automatically runs, and in win7 automatically excludes SSDs. So basically if you have win7 you don't need to do anything about defrag, it just happens.

yep, works well also, only thing you might want to do is schedule it so it runs when you wont be using the computer

you don't need to, it automatically does that.
Windows 7 automatically schedules all spindle drives to defrag when idle, and all SSDs to NOT defrag. (although it will allow you to manually defrag an SSD if you try to)
when windows starts the defrag utility is NOT loaded (service is stopped)... it is only loaded when the schedule says it should defrag, or when you run the defrag GUI. shutting down the defrag GUI leaves it on, but idle, until you turn off the computer.

you don't actually need to ever mess with the schedule, GUI, or anything else that has anything to do with defrag in windows 7, it does everything correctly, automatically.
