Hello there,

I'd defenitely go for the 300 W supply (Any will do actually) cause when you are planning on getting a highspeed processor you probably are gonna put a high grade video card in. (Not much sense in getting a lowgrade geforce when you have a faster then 1000Mhz cause it would be a shame of processor power)
More power is better and you have more power cables so you can connect more fans, harddisk, .... and still have plenty of juice for other things.
For these alien cases just try and find out if everything is placed nicely so you can connect every cable with ease. Make sure there's lots of room beneath the supply and the place where you are gonna mount your motherboard

Hope this helps.

Sounds fine to me, its actually quite cheap isnt it?
Those fans seem to have little CM values or isnt this the value for the amount of air blown away???
I thought the higher value of cm the better??
Just a thought though!

You definetely cant go wrong with that case!

Greets.

I wonder if Amamax can get in trouble for calling this case the Alienware case? Alienware just takes the Hydraulic case and has them painted in all their colors. Amamax doesn't even look like they are offering a silver case (would be my pick if I went with this case)

Directron sells the same Hydraulic cases (beige, black and silver) and you can get a better choice of PSU.

which power source do you reccomend? something cost effective too cause im on a tight budget. what are some of the advantages of the more expensive enermax ps ? they are much more expensive then the others.

I'd personally go with an Enermax or Antec PSU. I wouldn't try to save $30 on a PSU. Penny wise and pound foolish IMO.

The most common problem that people have with an inadequete PSU is that their system will tend to crash because the PSU isn't supplying sufficient or steady power to the system.

Also.. You might get a lot better results from a lower rated Enermax than someone else's so-called 300w PSU.

One other thing to consider is noise. The Enermax's and Antec's are quiet. I've got a generic PSU in a work computer that sounds like an old refigeration unit. Noisy!

I'll tell you what I'd stay away from: A DEER PSU. I've heard nothing buy nasty things about them. I read on the NG's that some kid came back from spring break, powered up his computer and there was a huge spark. Apparently, his DEER PSU shorted, caught fire and burned his system.
He's lucky that it only wasted his pc.

I'm not a huge expert here, but I'd tend to stay away from a cheap PSU.

Maybe someone with more experience on this forum can confirm or deny some of this information for you.

I got silver mid tower alienware (hydraulic) case from directron about a month ago and I love it. I popped my Iwill KK266 in it with no problem at all. I have an Antec 300W AMD approved Power supply for my AMD Athlon 900 o/ced to 1ghz. I currently have 1 80mm intake fan at lower front, 1 80mm exaust blowhole on the left side panel (came pre-done from directron - nice suprise), 1 60mm exaust in back. I would like to put a few more blowholes on there, but my expertise with cutting those things lack! I was thinking about ordering a pre-done case window from directron though. They only charge like 19.00 to cut a window and 10.00 if you want it mounted. Not too bad if you can't cut your own :p This a great case so you made a very nice selection. Just make sure you got the full tower instead of mid. I've only got 3 drive bays :(

Which Enermax case? I looked on their site, and they have the new blue/red cases, model#CS-688AL-01, CS-688AL-02. Nice looking but they only have (1) hidden HDD bay. :(

wow...I just saw Enermax's model# CS-989AL-01, CS-989AL-02 cases. They went crazy with mounting places for fans! 2x6cm, 2x12cm on side panel, 2x8cm for HDD. Does anyone have their case?
