Alienware PC's - Anyone out there own one? Comments?

Just wanting to see if any TA members own one of These Systems.

Thinking about buying one, but most of the references they post are old.

Have you looked at Hypersonic-PC. Hypersonic-PC They have very competitive prices and high quality.

i wouldnt touch alienware with a 20ft cattleprod. they are way overpriced just for something that looks cool. give me 2g's and i'll build you the best home system ever.

Alienware builds good rigs, but they charge a premium for their experience.

Look up the system you want, then price the components individually.
You'll find you can save a few hundred dollars.

Only reason to buy an Alienware or Falcon Northwest system is if you want high performance and a warranty.

Or if your wife won't let you spend $2,000 on a system you are building your self (friend has this problem).

Another option to give ya: GamePC.

I second JellyBaby, GamePC is much better than Alienware or FalconNW. Slightly better prices, but much better selection and quality components. Alienware gives you very limited choices and try to sell you with their flashy cases and such, and FalconNW simply rides on their reputation. GamePC however has a gigantic selection of components and has such a good knowledge base/support I often see them answering config questions in their 'mailbag' section for people that aren't even buying from them.

I personally thought GamePC was a little pricey compared to Hypersonic. I will agree that they have a great selection of components.

Even NOW (2 months later), they (GamePC) want $300 more than Hypersonic for the same config.

go to directron.com pick out that same case and build the machine yourself . they do look sweet, but way to overpriced!!! i will build that same machine if you want

Wow, thanks for the links everyone! I was very impressed on the options from GamePC.

I usually build my own system also, but as my guess was right, most of the systems from Alienware was all hipe and not a good bang for the buck.
