What ever happened to that sweet looking Apple clone case that I used to see people link pics of here? I'd buy that now if I could find it....

To answer the question about the price of the Case. If you take a look at the specs, i believe it's a typical steel body, much like the one they use with the scorpio. The main reason for the cost is because it costs IMMENSE amount of money to develop the plastic molding that goes around that case. Also a good reason why a lot of case companies think twice about trying to attempt a plastic wrap around style case. :)

I guess I'm old school, but I still prefer beige classic Antec cases like the SX series. No windows. Black fans...looks like a computer not a VCR.

Raidmax case=Fugly
Opus=Not bad, except for the kiddie badge in the middle

I lean towards plain cases. No case 'rice' for me :D

both those cases are ugly but you could build em into a gaming rig and sell it for over a grand

Well I like the Raidmax case too. I won't change my case for it, but if I had the time I might consider it, and sell this one. But, of course, that would also rely on a review of it. Who cares if it looks "ugly" to some of you. You may think the Alienware cases are ugly but they aren't badly designed. Not everyone has the time to build their own, and some have the money for systems from them. My friend has one and it cools his system pretty nicely.

I will go against the grain of the lovers of plain-jane cases and say that I love my computers having style. When I went for the Antec SLK3700AMB, I wanted to make sure it cooled well and also looked great in regards to my other hardware. Thats just my thing...I like great-looking cases. Anandtech has reviewed some other cases with souped-up looks recently, reviewing the Samurai isn't a bad idea It looks interesting, and is from a decent case-maker like Raidmax.

Nice link, jrphoenix! I'm glad I read the article because i've always wanted to find a case looking like that :)

If you go to the linked "original thread" you will see they had a case that looked very similar to Alienware that they were sued over. The new case looks like an Alienware case at the top mostly.... they've slapped on quite a few extra moldings :)
