*Update*.. I found this case for sales in Canada (should see in the US in June): Link $195 is a lot of money! Let's get a review to see why it costs so much!

I have a thread on the cases & cooling forum about some a new case coming out by Raidmax. The new case is similar to the Alienware case... and we can buy these in June! Here was my original thread: Raidmax Samurai.

There are two cases coming out (Samuraid in June and Terminator in July) that I was hoping someone could do a review on at Anandtech (can't find reviews using google).

Raidmax Samurai Several Colors

Opus Tech Terminator

Here is the original case Raidmax was sued over by Alienware: Link

Since you solicited opinions, here is mine: Both cases are ugly.

Yeah, neither of those really look very special or anything to me.

The Samurai one could've been cool, but all that crap they have on the lower part looks stupid, as well as the huge chunk they take out of the side panels at the back.

I wish it would be possible to buy just the case that Alienware's come in, but I know they won't allow that because its their signature. It'd look good if some company would sell the same basic case but just not put the little grills on the bottom that Alienware's cases have.

I even looked on ebay to see if maybe someone was selling just the case, but didn't find any.

Me too.... I want an Alienware case but, don't want to pay their premium price. The first model (I linked to above) was prety close to Alienware (people said they were going to be sued). I wonder if you pop off the Samurai "additional" molding if the case will look just like Alienware?

Ugh, I can't stand gaudy cases in plastic-toy colors like these. What is the attraction there? Particularly the Chenbros, they look like Tonka creations.. hideous.

Yeah the Chenbro Xpider cases look downright disgusting to me.

I like some of the plasticy bright colored cases (Alienware's for instance) but not very many of them. I also like nice slick cases like the Coolermaster Wavemaster as well. I would generally choose a black or silver case as it looks better to me. Its hard to get a bright green/yellow/blue/purple/orange case to go with other parts (speakers, keyboards, monitors, etc.).

I'm trying to decide on what case to get when I upgrade this summer. I'm thinking Wavemaster mostly, but thats a lot to pay for such a plain case.

I picked up my Lian Li PC 61 (black with no window) for $89. Not quite as good looking as the Wavemaster but for $89 there isn't a more professional, well-built, sleek-looking case on the market for less than $100.

first one is uglier then alienwares current ugly cases, man they are hedious, second isnt so bad but cases with doors on the frin piss me off, stupis doors just get in the way and have to be opened/closed and teh window is on the wrong side meaning that something fishy has to happen with the mobo

i have a Lian-Li PC65b and its just about as awsome as cases get

I was about to disagree, until you said "less than $100"

I was going to say Coolermaster..... pwnage to the max cases.

I have kinda strange tastes in case appearances. I find the current Alienware cases to be pretty cool looking, the Lian-Li cases to be kinda bland/boring, and don't really like the looks of Thermaltakes cases.

I do really like the Wavemaster case, but I think I'd need one with a side window. Its like $200 for one with a window though, so I'll probably go with a different case since I'm getting into modding some.

Everyone is going to have different opinions on the aestetics of the case. I would like to see a review of the Samurai case once it comes out. All we have right now are aestetics. Is it a tool-less design? How well does it do what you buy a case to do (air flow and cooling)? I'd like to have the answers before buying a case. I currently like the NXZT Guardian's and the Raidmax Scorpios, but to each his own.

I want a review of this one.

The Samurai isn't that bad, I've seen worse. The Terminator just looks flat out retarded. :disgust:

Awwwww, come on..... you can pick from the different colors at the bottom of the page :) I live silver or pewter for the Samurai.

Agreed.... I liked the wavemaster somewhat but I don't want something very common and bland. If I get into modding I just know I'll hose something on my new case :p I was interested in the Raidmax Scorpios too! I may still go that way unless I can find a review of either of the cases I linked to.

I'd never buy an alienware because 1) theyre overpriced 2) i like to build my own 3) theyre farking ugly.

theyre all hideous, as is everything that is remotely alike the alienware "design", or anything riced up. they make them look like plastic toys for toddlers with sadistic parents. The "terminator" one could almost be salvaged into something ok, by taking away the silly skull thing, and at least making the LCD thing match the case... and well actually by making it the coolermaster atc-710.
