I'm re-watching AVP while sitting at work being bored when I noticed something.

The chest bursting aliens gestate in an entirely too short of a time compared to every other movie. The blond chick just had a facehugger (giggity!) 5 minutes ago and now BURST! Alien. WTF!

The guy in Alien was in a coma for a long time. It took Ripley, what, 2 days in Alien^3.

Did anybody else notice this?

The eggs were kept in the subterranian castle thing for ages. The queen was chained up. Who knows what else that wasn't explained in the movie. It's MAKE BELIEVE. Use your imagination, holy shit. Maybe the preds know a thing or two about these creatures since they've been hunting them for thousands of years and found a way to make them gestate faster so the preds wouldn't have to wait for the hunt to begin.

And maybe Ripley took 2 days to gestate because of the hypersleep thing.

Who knows.

If you can't go to a movie, especially one about FUCKING ALIENS, and be able to use your imagination, you need to stop going to the movies.

It was a decent flick. Could have been a lot better, but it didn't suck. The second one, now that might have reached the "suck level".

Dual shoulder casters? Laser trip mines? New shapes for smart discs? I'm a gadget nut, like the predator movies, like the made-up technology for the predator race, etc. All the new toys in AvP2 gave me a chubby in the theater 😱
