About the Game

Aliens Versus Predator Classic 2000 features the Colonial Marine, Alien and Predator Campaigns and the frenetic single-player Skirmish mode from the original title: Alien Versus Predator Gold Edition, which was released to massive acclaim in 2000.

Alien Versus Predator Classic 2000 has been updated to run on modern PCs and laptops using DirectX 9.0c and includes support for Xbox 360 Controller for Windows, however, it does not currently support multi-player.

The three most ferocious species in the universe in a bloodthirsty battle for the ultimate prize: survival. Take your pick: be a Colonial Marine, a Predator or an Alien. Fight through suspense-filled environments: from starships and space stations to colonial bases and eerie planetscapes. One wrong move turns you from hunter to prey.

Does this one have "normal" saves? IIRC, the original AVP on the PC had a strange low cap on the number of saves you could have . Or am I thinking of the Atari Jaguar AvP? It has been years...

Hah, what a blast from the past! I saw it yesterday but decided against buying it. It was cool and all way back, but I don't like infinite enemy respawn (I like to clear out the levels) and the graphics are way way dated.

The steam forums show the developers have been releasing frequent patches this year, and they have been working on a dedicated server (which shows up under steam tools as a "beta" server). Always looking for some cheap retro-gaming fun for LAN get togethers.

I'd like to see an updated AVP2, like the Serious Sam HD projects, although the original still runs under current os's. From what I read AVP2 had different developers and distribution.

This was a game we used at a lan party was very fun being aliens taking out predators running along the walls.

Clicking link takes you to offer, and it looks like it has been updated since posted here, with the following from original post now omitted : "however, it does not currently support multi-player." So I guess it now supports multiplayer
