You can still play Steam games. Just not ones that use Valve to match make for you.

I don't think there is crossfire support in the demo as I'm hovering in the 30 -35 fps range with a trifire 4870 setup @2560x1600

yeah that certainly sounds like single 4870 framerates. I am at 60+fps most of the time at 1920x1080 with a 192sp gtx260.

After 4 hours of straight play, I like the game even though controls and other things show they are a direct console port. I'm not going to pay $50 for this game, but probably eventually get it.

The predator throwing disc is way powerful, I was in a game with 7 other people and got 30 kills and 4 deaths pretty fast playing against 6 aliens and 1 marine. Everybody was raging over their mics, love it!

Took me awhile to figure out how to change your class in the lobby screen, and how to do the Predator super jump. Predator is pretty powerful with all the crap he can do.

Shame I already pre-ordered this through Steam @ about $37.

To be honest the main attraction of this game is and always has been it's singleplayer. Simply recreating the atmosphere of the movies and previous games with improved graphics would be sufficient in this case.

I am not sure whether there was much more that could be added to AvP1. Not even AvP2 added much over the first one yet it was still pretty darn good.

Wow, this game is hella fun on PS3. Started playing a match, got 16 kills and won with Predator. Had a guy invite me to a game, he taught me the ropes, and we had a blast. We only played each other, but I can rape now I'm pretty sure. This game is so much better on console IMO..made for it I believe. A lot easier is probably what attributes to it being better. And that is for all classes after finally playing all.

Glad for the demo. It just saved me 40 bucks. Alien controls are atrocious. Cant see shit and cant control properly whenever I go up against someone else.

AVP 2 was better, lots better.

Also, graphics did not impress. DirectX 9 is capable of so much more. Did they gimp the DX9 version on purpose to make you want the full game with DX11?
