Kind of a dead thread but I just was looking on the PS4 store and figured I'd give it a try. I tried the game a long time ago when it came out on PC but it was too tense for me to play sitting at the PC.
Man is this game loooong..very good though there aren't many games now that are long at all. But it does get tough having to backtrack to areas. I'm ashamed I have to play it on Easy but on normal I had a very hard time. Even on the easier mode the AI is very unpredictable and I like that. Always keeping me tense and on my toes.
I don't think I've stayed hidden in any other game..I think in the medical bay, I hid for a good 5-10 minutes just trying to figure out the alien's paths..they are all pretty random and he seems tethered to you no matter where you go.
I do get some relief, when I see lockers that don't have the lit up panels on them, means he won't be coming down from the vents to hunt me yet.
I'm at the part where I've made it to the quarters with the two Marshalls and the chick that has a broken leg. Of course I get sent to power up the train station. You need patience for this game for sure and to be honest I've crafted a lot of gadgets but I never used them.
I wanted to use an emp mine on the Android in the operating theater where you have to initiate the emergency sequence but I ended up not using one.
It is taking me forver to get to places and explore, mainly because I don't know if I should be walking or crouching but I've played the game 99% crouching.
On the PS4 touchpad controller though I think the controller chimes when the alien arrives in your area and also when he goes away, but not sure if this is foolproof.
