There is a post about this in PC gaming. While I can't read the article, it is supposed to be a lot more survival horror and similar to Amnesia than Colonial Marines.

I am hoping it is good (because I am a fan of the survival horror genre and the source material), but I will be keeping my expectations in check.

Yea I saw gameplay footage. There's an interview with ppl who have played the game. It is NOTHING like Colonial Marines, and NOTHING like Deadspace.

It is more like Amnesia or Slender for various reasons with the gameplay. We shall wait with bated breath.

BTW, when people say "this looks like deadspace" i almost have to kill someone...considering deadspace looks like Alien 😛

That was the largest comparison that was made by people who have played it. You aren't taking on an Alien, you are trying not to die. There was mention of a few weapons, but it was eluded to that you still would not want to go up against it.

If it is remotely as good as Amnesia, it will be great. Amnesia was a heart pounder.

Yeah, that is what it is sounding like. Survival horror at it's finest. You aren't some billy bad ass, you're someone who can't fight.

When I read Gameinformer, it said that you can craft weapons like flamethrowers and other things so there are weapons but you have to make them.

Aliens is good as well but much different from the first, more action than the first.

im a fan of pretty much all of the alien movies to an extent. the 4th one was pretty meh but it is entertaining in it's own right.

the sound of this game kinda reminds me of alien 3 though.

I wasn't a huge fan of the 4th, but the first 3 were great. I did like Prometheus as well (and Fassbender is so dreamy).

An Alien 3 type of game wouldn't be awful, if done correctly. A prison colony is fairly large and full of "mazes" to explore.

I never played this game and it's on sale on PSN for PS4 for $6 so I just snagged it.

Totally worth the $6. I loved it. If I did it all over again I would have taken my time and played it a chapter at time while I take my time and can game at night with it loud and lights out.
