those look so focking awesome... too bad this is not a hotdeal....

Oh i agree

but some people think Lian Li cases are worth it.

But some people really love those "Dragon" cases by Alienware, so it might be worth it to them.

So its Hot deal to some and not to others.

Yep, true. The first four cases listed are the Antec SX12xx series equivalent with a door added to the front.

Now if I could only find one like the first one listed, but without the door, I'd probably pick one up.

<< This is kinda a hot deal. Regular sx1030's are roughly 125, these are 131 with color :\ >>

The ones priced at $131 are the SX1200 full towers not the SX1000

<< big deal...get a white case and ill spray paint it for ya. purple? pink? orange? ;) >>

Thats what I'm talking about. Get yourself a beige sx1000 for about $50 bucks and a can of Krylon and your good to go.

I may actually order one of these. I bought the 1040 a while back for about $100. I went ahead and sanded, primed, painted, glossed, and glazed the case. I'm quite happy with the results and it was a good mod'n experience. But $20-50 for a professional paint job is worth it in my opinion. Not to mention it can be fairly time consuming to do the painting properly. I don't care what kind of paint you use, what kind of preperation you do, how many layers, or what grade gloss/lacquer, nothing is going to beat the powder paint. It's simply too durable/thin/scratch-resistant when compared with anything you can get from your local paint store. Although i did find a local painting company who offers a powdercoating service who was willing to do a computer case for $30 ;) If any of you do decide to order one of these, don't bother with their power supply. Just like your motherboard, it's in your best interest to get something a little more powerful/reliable.

Ok..I am a little confused:eek:. Other than the color...which one of these cases is the model to get and which one to avoid? I didn't follow some of the posts above. Any suggestions as to where to find out more info on these? Thanx!

Thanks for the post.
I wonder if the top case is purple or blue?
The picture might be a little off.
(GF would steal my computer if I had a purple one,
might be asking for trouble!):D

The larger ones are cheaper, but the smaller (SX1030 and 1040 size) are $7 more.

I had been looking for these cases (and colors) since I had noticed them on Chieftec's site, but couldn't find them anywhere in the US. I finally emailed Chieftec about US distributors and the ISI Tech guys emailed (unfortunately they emailed me 2 days after I bought an SX1030B from Directron with an upgraded Enermax 350W PS for $114 shipped). Anyway, I agree that the professional quality paint jobs are worth the extra money, and they appear to be better than the Enermax FS710's (which I read the black and Blue/Purple were fairly shoddy quality paint jobs). Also, the color is blue on these Chieftec cases, not purple in the least. My friend purchased one from ISIToday last week.
