I saw the trailers and it looks like it`s going to be a real visual treat especially in IMax 3D.

Ill probably take the grand children to see it this weekend.

Anybody else looking forward to see it?

Meh, 3D was done in post, so it won't be that great. I'll definitely be seeing this in 2D.

Well one converts a 2D image into 3D, while the other is shot in 3D, giving, from what I have read and heard anyway, a much better 3D image.

OK, I have seen Avatar in IMax 3D so I should be able to tell the difference when I see this one. Ill post back in here once I've seen it.

I guess the movie was alright. It was kind of odd for me, because I sat there wondering if this was supposed to be geared toward kids in the slightest way as I saw quite a few young tykes pass by. The PG rating made it seem accessible to them, but it was I guess.. a little more "mature" than the original Disney cartoon,
especially since you get to watch Alice behead the Jabberwocky in full detail
.

The worst part for me may've been the theater I was at. It could've been the seat I chose as it was on the far right and that may be a poor choice for digital projections, but it seemed decent since the chair was oddly secluded (literally none next to it). But the film looked like someone needed to turn the brightness up as I had a lot of trouble actually seeing what was going on during the dimly lit scenes. Taking off the 3d glasses made it easier to see the scene brightness-wise, but it was then fuzzy due to the double image.

Alice looks quite homely though 😛.

saw it yesterday, thought it was a good little fantasy flick. not quite as dark as one might have hoped given tim burton directed.

mia washikowska is gorgeous, though now she's going a little rosemary's baby and looks a bit too elfin.

I thought it was fantastic. Some of the most incredible visuals ever to grace the silver screen. Depp was simply outshined by Helena Bonham-Carter. Great flick.

I guess I'm one of the few people left in the world that hates this new push for 3D. Avatar did nothing for 3D and still had all the major problems that make 3D suck. I also haven't seen a 3D movie that added anything to the experience and most of the time made it worse.

I don't like 3d either...hurts my eyes after a while and makes me sleepy for some reason...but maybe it's just because I'm always sleepy 😀

What do you mean by 3d having "major problems" though?

Also in regards to the movie thought it was odd that the Queen didn't notice it was alice at all even after she said "I'd recognize those golden locks of hair anywhere" or something like that. Who else would she be 😛

i'm not much a 3D fan either.

Avatar had tons of panning problems and focusing problems throughout the whole movie. Plus the damn glasses are uncomfortable as hell.

I like the 3D I saw in Disney World where the stuff REALLY looks 3 dimensional. I've only seen a couple 3D movies, but I been disappointed with them.
