I just watched this in Imax 3D.

HOLY SHIT...it was awesome

I saw it this weekend myself, but not in Imax, just regular 3D. I loved the movie, but was reminded why I never go to theatres. I had some asshats running their mouths during the whole thing, commenting on the obvious. I'd have rather just watched it at my house. My small screen isn't as impressive, but I'd have enjoyed it much more. I dig Tim Burton films, and the chick that played Alice was a cutie.

Buddy of mine that saw it was telling me the plot.

To me, it sounds like 3/4 "Hook" (you know, the 1990s Peter Pan movie with Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman) and 1/4 "Through the Looking Glass" (Lewis Carol's sequel to AiW).

odd.

That Mia chick is really cute. I kept hoping that one of her dress shrinkages would reveal a little more.

The acting was great. The Red Queen was too funny.

The Imax 3D was just wicked. The whole theater jumped when the queen hit the ball towards the screen :D

Who else just super-duper fvcking hates Jonny Depp like they make a living at it? I sure do. That charlie chocolate remake was the final straw. Heavens to betsy any movie he is in I'd rather eat my own liver than watch. I am not sure if I detest him as much as movies directed by that guy who did the life aquatic with steve zizou. It's just so hard to choose which is more deserving of my wrath.

Wes Anderson has more talent in his penis than you do in your entire bloodline.

I saw it the other night in Imax 3D. Regular movie was $11 ... Imax 3D was $14... worth the extra $3.

You need to remember.. the movie is NOT Alice in Wonderland.

It combines elements of the original Alice in Wonderland, Thru the Looking Glass, and the remade SciFi channel Alice.

The Jabberwock, the Vorpal Sword, the White Queen, the Red Queen were all elements of TtLG.

That... and this version of Alice in Wonderland takes place 10+ years after the original Alice in Wonderland story.

why does her dress grow when she grows? it should rip to shreads, leaving her naked.

is 3D version that much better?

probably not, it was filmed in 2d.
so basically its fake 3d, and all the reports of the unimpressive 3d experience is from this, only bits and pieces of it were in 3d apparently.

twit home theater geek podcast had one of the pioneers of 3d tech on, and they mentioned a bit on this films fake 3d
and other issues on 3d
