Interesting article:

Alex Rodriguez Donates $3.9 to the University of Miami

In particular, A-Rod talks about spendinig the off season over the next 8 years attending classes to get his degree.

At least he's doing something with his money and setting a good example in terms of emphasizing education.

More that most professional athletes do these days.

like the University of Miami doesn't pull in millions from thier football program already. I guess at least its a start. But if I made 25 million a year I could probably do alot better than donate it to Miami (maybe the University of Tennessee instead).

I guess some people will be critical of the guy no matter what he does. I, for one, applaud him for this, even though he didnt donate to MY university.

Well at 25Mill a year he needs a good write off, and is not the most popular guy BECAUSE of how much he makes.
