Alert: Cardinal rule just broken in men's bathroom

StageLeft

No Lifer
No, not the rule that says when doing #2 not to sit in adjoining stalls. I was second in so ensured that wasn't a problem.

I am talking about eye contact. Both of us were in there and not being entirely silent. I left my stall first and was finishing cleaning up. I was about to leave the bathroom and he left his stall. WHY? He is not supposed to see me. I am not supposed to see him. Why couldn't he wait? Was he raised in a barn or a refugee camp?

My rule is if I'm second in, I come back later.

With only two stalls and probably 150+ men on our floor, I'd never get to do my business if I followed that rule.

I only follow it if all the other stalls but one are taken. It's rare I have to turn around, though.

What's even worse is going #2 and someone starts trying to talk to you, as if it's an appropriate time to carry out a conversation. I absolutely cannot stand when people do that.

That's why I goto the bathroom by our raised floor space 🙂

1: nobody knows about it except IT or managers who use the meeting rooms up there
2: there are only ~50 people on the floor at any given moment
3: the stall I use is set back in an enclosure (and the stall is huge like 2+ normal stalls)
4: it's not a handicapped stall either

LOL! I agree! Whoever makes the first move to leave, has the right to the sink(s). The other guy must wait.

Also, beware of shiny floors. You just may be sitting face to face with the guy next to you if you both look at the floor.

What is worse: OP's situation, or making eye contact with the dude next to you while you're taking a leak?

someone start a poll

Really??? Who cares? I do my business and get out. I really don't care if anybody else is in there or not. You wait until people are done with the sink before getting out of the stall? WTF?!?! LOL!

Yeah, sounds like a bunch of uptight biatches up in here. Go take your dump, then leave.

"Ohhh, what if he sees me, I'd be so embarrassed... no one can know that I take a shit like every other human being on the face of the earth"

Big deal, grow a pair!

That's a lot of punctuation

I just don't like people. Plus I don't like to mute push push on my phone.

Eye contact is much better than having the guy next to you staring at your peter ;^)

LOL...it is an unspoken rule.

At least it is better than the guy who worked on one of our projects straight off the boat who wouldn't put his toilet paper in the toilet..instead he'd just lay the used toiled paper in a pile next to the toilet. I realize this is common practice some places...but it really throws you off guard here in the US.

Definitely taking a leak. I don't really care about going out to the sink while my fellow pooper is there - just act like a man for christ sake. It is awkward getting started on the can while another man is already there/gets there at the same time.
