Alcoholic monkeys!

I would consider spending upwards of $10 to see this!

<< Five per cent are classed as "seriously abusive binge drinkers". They get drunk, start fights and consume as much as they can until passing out. >>

<< Prof Ervin said: "The parallels between the vervets' behaviour and human behaviour are striking. A cageful of drunken monkeys is like a cocktail party. You have one who gets aggressive, one who gets sexy, one who thinks everything's funny and one who gets really grumpy. >>

LMAO! 😀 We won't get into the whole PETA b.s. thing. The bottom line is this: we need to test drugs, medicines, etc. Do we test them on humans first, even though it might kill someone? Of course not.

I like this part too:

<< He said: "When they spotted a drink that had been left unguarded or unfinished, the monkeys would sneak down from the trees, jump on the tables and start drinking. They were tasting the drinks to see which ones they liked."

Most bar owners consider the monkeys a nuisance and some use water pistols to keep them away. Others see them as an attraction for customers.

I can just see this little Simian come swinging down from a tree, swiping my Beam & Coke right out of my hand and happily swinging away, just out of my reach....heheh, little hairy boozer-bastard! 😀

<< Five per cent are classed as "seriously abusive binge drinkers". They get drunk, start fights and consume as much as they can until passing out. As with humans, most heavy drinkers are young males, but monkeys of both sexes and all ages like a drink. >>

LMAO Skoorb, wonder how I can sign up 😕

When I was doing physics research at Brookhave Nat. Lab, they had, what we called "smack monkeys." They had baboons in cages shooting heroin. They just chilled and ate oranges and watched cartoons all day. *sigh* That's the life for me.

Anyone ever seen "High Fidelity"... we are the Sonic F***ing Death Monkeys... Anyways.

Yeah, I laughed out loud when I saw the title of this thread.

<< "The binge drinkers gulp down the alcohol at a very fast rate and pass out on the floor. The next day they do it all over again." >>
