Greetings. Just purchased the above motherboard along with a P4 1.8 and a Volcano 7+. I haven't owned Intel kit for ages, so i have a couple of questions.
Operating temps; With no overclocking, the CPU is sitting around the 46 degree mark. This seems a little high to me. I'm thinking that i may not have the HSF mounted perfectly or something. What's the average temp for these puppies?
Overclocking; The bios will let me ramp up the FSB. I want to go from 100 to 133 to take the CPU to 2400. I can manually alter the AGP/PCI clock to keep the system in 'spec'. There's also a CPUDR ratio which is currently set to 2.66.
The manual (yes i read the manual. Sad...) states that i this setting can be changed to 2 or 2.5. I want to change it to 2 because my Crucial RAM is only PC2100, but i don't seem to be able to alter it from 2.66.
Am i missing something here? Does anyone else have this board?
