brand new mobo starts up fine but wont read the cd. i get a boot from cdrom ? put disk in hit enter ! ok
then it says boot malfunction something like that
thanks for any reply bubba

Try this. Go into the BIOS when you turn it on. Set the CDROM drive as the first boot device. Save it, and make sure the OS CD is in it. If it still says it, make sure all the cables on the drive are not loose, and that they're plugged in correctly. If it still doesn't work, the CDROM drive may be bad.
