Hey guys, I just upgraded my geforce3 ti200 video card to a ALBATRON GeForce FX5900PV for $199 from newegg.com.

Now i'm worried that it's not the best card i could have gotten for under $200.

Any one have any experience with this card?

Is it worth it?

I didn't notice the PV until after i bought it. There's a EPV that goes for like $20 more
PV
Clock Speed 400MHz
Memory speed 850MHz

EPV
Clock Speed 405MHz
Memory speed 810MHz

I have no idea what type of memory it has in it. And I have no idea how much of a difference it makes, i just know I didn't want to spend more then $200.

The memory speed would only matter if you wanted to overclock. At any rate, the card is fairly good against the other cards at that price point.

I got that same card 4 months ago for $551

The Albatron Geforce FX 5900PV <----- ;)

Geforce FX5900 non Ultra
400Mhz Core
850Mhz Ram 2.2in Memory

The card overclocks great and the Memory also goes high its rated at 950Mhz
but whatch out when summer hits because it will heat up to around 60c 69c
thats damn hot burns your finger if you touch the heatsink ....... i'm even running
my card underclocked to 250Mhz core and i just left the ram at 850Mhz :)

I havent had 1 single lock up with this card after 4 months and it runs all the games fine.
Just make sure you have the Forceware Drivers 53.03 installed because they work the best
on that card at the moment ... and you can grab those from Guru3D

Thanks alot! This was what I was looking for. I'm still not sure if I should oc it. Usually I stay away from doing it because I'm not sure if it's worth it. Do you know how faster it is in a game such as ut2k3 when it's oc'ed?

the albatron epv is slower than the pv, so you made a good deal. the pv isnt on newegg anymore. EPV=2.5ns opposed to 2.2ns
