Alaska cop found to be illegal immigrant

Maybe we are too busy to dig ditches?

Hardly, have you seen the unemployment figures lately? But more Americans might be inclined to do it if menial labor wages weren't driven down by an unending stream of third-world central Americans.

I read it as I was too lazy to dig my own ditch. I will pay to have my ditch dug.

Too bad for him; he doesn't have the legal right to live and work in the US, and he is accused of committing a felony in order to facilitate his being here. It doesn't matter how good a citizen he has been since, the fact remains that he is still an illegal alien. I have no sympathy for him.

One fucking cop. Miami found at one point during the cocaine wars that 1/3 of their whole police force had felony convictions. I think we can forgive Alaska this time and just ask ourselves how long we will continue to treat these 13 million illegal aliens as uninvited guests.

Well at least one thing to say, someone slipped up pre-hiring in not doing a background check. What do we expect from a Government tainted by Sarah Palin?

How about a bridge to nowhere built by illegal aliens?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Point granted, illegal aliens can build bridges to nowhere cheaper. All the more reason to build such bridges, yehaw.

Too bad for the guy. He was living his dream, being an American, kinda like people with black ancestors "passing" as white...

So what happens to those he arrested? I am no lawyer, but it seems like a case could be made that the offender was arrested by an officer who could not legally enforce the law. Did not see this mentioned in the OP's article.

Yea, all Palin's fault. 🙄

I am no fan of hers either but to imply she is directly involved in the hiring process is ridiculous. Not to mention Alaska law enforcement is considered among the best.

And you can see Russia from Alaska, maybe not from Palin's house, but you can from the Little Diomede.

It's an insidiously corrupt culture.

Mexico sucks and we're important suck by the millions. We need to stop importing the suck and send illegal suckiness back to where it came from so it can stay in Mexico.

Nowhere does the source story say "illegal alien." Passport fraud "yes" or maybe just a mix up in paper work.

I don't view it so much as a corrupt culture, rather a culture too large to micro-manage every aspect.

The rest of you just seem to enjoy hating for the sake of hating.

Wrong. What does a "culture too large to micro-manage every aspect" even mean? Sounds like a complete load of horse shit. Are you talking about population or what? Mexico has been free for hundred of years and has never gone beyond a failed state. Making excuses is just about the only thing they're good at these days.

LOL, a "mix up" in the paperwork?? He's been going by the wrong name for over 20 years and didn't realize it? Really?? LMAO@U

He's a Mexican citizen who is here illegally. If that's not an "illegal alien" then I don't know what is??

Americans are too fat to do manual labor work. I'm afraid illegals are a necessity here. Wake the phuck up. Americans rather begs for food rather than work for it (there's a reason why you don't see illegals begging for money on the fwy ramp, but I see plenty of white American begging because they're too lazy to work?)

Pretty sad that you felt the need to bring race into this. And if you're dumb theory made any sense Mexico would be an awesome productive country. Do you want to move there? I didn't think so.

I imagine defense attorneys will get most of his cases dismissed or a retrial will be given to those he had to testify against without him being able to testify.

IANAL, but I suspect the arrest would hold regardless of his immigration status. People are usually arrested because they broke the law, so the particulars of the arresting officer is likely irrelevant. The main problem would be in those cases where he testified. Those cases might require another trial depending on the level of the officer's involvement.
