Alanis Morisette - New CD

Yes I'll admit it, I like Alanis and thought Jagged Little pill was a great album.

Now she has released a completely acoustic version of the album (only being sold at starbucks by the way). I picked it up last week on my morning coffee run.

Personally, I dig it. Even if you are not an Alanis fan, the music is done very well on this album.

I don't think I'd like it as much acoustic.
I already prefer 1000 Mona Lisa's cover of You Oughta Know, and wish the CD hadn't been stolen from me.

I like her too, even is she doesn't seem to understand the meaning of irony..

Oh the irony 😀

 I don't buy for a minute that the song was supposed to be ironic because it didn't actually describe irony, yet had it in the title. That's called "covering your ass."

The non-radio played songs are her best anyway. I never cared for ironic, but Not The Doctor and Mary Jane are just plain great songs (both original and acoustic).

I like Alanis Morisette but I've never really been a fan of acoustic versions.

I dig well done "unplugged" versions, like Alice in Chains Unplugged is one of my favorite albums ever.

Alanis did a great job on this one.

I don't really dig unplugged versions either, but Alanis...well, she's an exception to teh rule.

I'll have to get this 🙂
