I watched a few hours of a let's play and it's one of the most boring games I've ever seen.
There are a lot of games in this world that are 8/10 at $5 and 4/10 at full price.
I suspect AW2 is one of those games based on my experience with AW1 (a 10/10 $5 and 6/10 $60 game).
Patient game this son-of-a-gun
Try disabling some of the settings mentioned here: https://linustechtips.com/topic/1538090-alan-wake-2-fixed-fsr-bad-quality/I am getting really bad shimmering with DLSS in this game. Anyone else have this issue?
I am 17+ hours in to actually playing the game and really enjoying it. Gives me some really weird and cool dreams. The game is not that scary for the most part, and doesn’t take itself as seriously as it seems to, but one part at about 15 hours in on Saga’s side was especially terrifying. Love the old gods of Asgard scene too as usual, I remember it being awesome in Control as well .. but I am into both 80s and modern Scandinavian rock and metal already.I watched a few hours of a let's play and it's one of the most boring games I've ever seen.
I wonder if I should re-play Alan Wake 1 before getting into AW 2?
I played the first game after release so it's been a really long time and I have mostly forgotten the story.
Remember TECHNICALLY this is Alan Wake THREE IRL so to really catch up you'll have to play TWO games.
*(#2 was American Nightmare and billed as an "expansion" despite being pretty big)
Having said that, I forgot plenty of story details myself!
-Havent played either AWAN or AW2 it but everything I've read basically says Remedy basically threw away American Nightmare.
