Alan Alda or Jimmy Smits for President?

JEDI

Lifer
Hawkeye vs Det. Bobby Simone

Who do you want to see for the next 4 years on West Wing?

My vote is for Mr. M*A*S*H

edit 3/16/05:
West Wing coming back for 7th season

CNN

"Sources said the show's producers have the contractual option to bring back Smits and Alda next season. The show also has core cast members (and Bartlet administration staffers) Bradley Whitford, Allison Janney, Richard Schiff and John Spencer under contract for the upcoming season."

and i guessed right... Alda vs Smits for Prez 🙂

You know what's going to happen. Congress is going to vote to allow a president to have 3 terms, then bartlett will get re-elected. 😛

Either way, reality losses. Alda as a Republican??? That's like having Stalin portray a capitalist or Hitler portray a Jew.

Hitler was part Jewish. So were some other Nazis.

The West Wing is not going to elect another Democrat. If the show continues after this year it's going to be with a Republican administration.

Largely considered to be a myth... but irrelevant nonetheless.

Exactly. In the Third Reich Hitler decided who was Jewish and who was not. I was just pointing out the poor anaology as Stalin's hatred for Jews rivaled that of Hitler.

How'll that show in the ratings, though?

No worse than the Left Wing is doing in the ratings now. The show is tanking and it's leftist policies are at least partially responsible. It's a conservative country and the Sorkin simplistic "democrat = good, republican = evil" garbage isn't selling anymore.

even lousier? i barely watch it as it is, being that it seems banal to watch this fantasy president while we have sh*theads in the real office.

Is Donna coming back???

Josh and Donna were meant to "hook up" 😉

Josh will leave to run Smits campain and Donna may come back for that.

It will be interesting to see if anyone else leaves or who the new press sec. will be.

I thought that Martin Sheen was as hardcore Democrat as they come??? 😕
The actor, best known for his role in Apocalypse Now, stars in the fictional White House-based TV series, which recently swept the Emmy awards.

Sheen, a prominent Democrat Party supporter, did not mince his words about the Republican president.
