Tostitos BCS National Championship Game

Oh, LOL. I thought you were talking about a Big Ten championship 🙂. Next year.

I don't think either OSU or MSU will be unbeaten this year, so I was confused by your comment.

I only came here to state a fact. That fact is LSU is 6-0, despite themselves. Have a great day!

well, reality is that it is. sorry if that upsets you.
LOL. The only ones upset here are the Bama fans. Instead of admitting to losing to a team that played better, lets go blame the loss on a team that had absolutely nothing to do with the game. If the SEC is as balanced as the fanbois say it is, then the loss shouldn't matter too much, amirite?

I think this pretty much sums it up

The point is they play a 'big time team' (Virginia Tech... James Madison lol?) once per season. Alabama just played three in a row. The question is not whether Boise can beat a team one time, the question is whether they should be as deserving as a one-loss big time conference school who has to go through 'big time teams' week in and week out. The answer is no.

You guys do know that Virginia Tech will probably run the table, be a top 10 team and gain a BCS Bowl berth, right?

Where did a Bama fan blame their loss to SC on a team that had absolutely nothing to do with the game? I must have completely missed that post.

Unfortunately their ranking has nothing to do with them getting a BCS bowl berth. But no team should ever be in the top 10, hell maybe even the top 25, after losing to James Madison.

i haven't seen anyone blame the loss on anyone else...

they almost lost to arkansas last week, and SC beat them this week. they are still a much better team than boise state. nobody plays a tougher schedule than SEC teams do, period. again, sorry if that upsets you, but it's reality. until another conference steps up that's just how it is. even UGA, as bad as we are this year, could beat toledo every week.

Yep, every season we fuck it up and somehow we always manage to come back and play in a somewhat decent bowl game. Hopefully one of these seasons, we'll actually live up to our pre-season hype instead of choking massively like usual.

We'll see what happens against Georgia Tech & Miami since those are the two that fuck us up. I say usually because obviously this year we made an exception. As usual VT fans will suck it up and deal with it.

I don't care about this thread topic, but why do you assholes have to talk shit about James Madison? We're a good team, damnit, who beat a I-A opponent this year. Yeah we lost to some bullshit team last week, but who cares.

Anyway, JMU for I-A! 🙂

It's just a bunch of guys that read box scores but are too busy with /b/ to take the time watch an actual college football game.

Cliff's: Don't let it bother you, they don't know what they're talking about.

'Bama down to 8 in the Coaches'. MSU up at 11 somehow, beating a completely mediocre team shouldn't move you up quite that much. That mediocre team is still hanging in at 24 somehow.

MSU isn't at #11 for beating Michigan and only Michigan, they're #11 because they're 6-0 with wins that include beating a ranked Michigan and a ranked Wisconsin. With only a dozen or so undefeated teams left where the fuck else would you rank them considering those current "quality" of wins?

Sure, Michigan might go on to lose several more games, MSU might go on to lose a game or two or more.

But we don't know what will happen in the future, if we did there would be no point in playing the games, Alabama would be undefeated and have another trophy and MSU would be a middle of the pack Big 10 team, but in the here and now MSU is 6-0 and ranked #11 for what they've currently done.

Careful, I think your bias is showing.

On the one hand, I don't think Boise and TCU could hang with a one loss SEC team like Bama. On the other hand, if Boise doesn't lose a game in 2+ years, at some point they deserve to get a shot at the ring no?

You can only punish them so much for not playing tough opponents since nobody will schedule them. And it's not like they can up and move to the big 10 tomorrow or something, they are stuck.

I don't think it's terribly out of hand, but there are three teams behind them that I simply think are better (Arkansas, Iowa, Stanford). I just don't like that they're getting so much credit for beating a Michigan team that I don't think will finish better than 7-5.

I'm a Big Ten guy, so I'm not sure what bias I would have. I have no love for MSU or Michigan, but I suppose we'll see. If Michigan finishes with less than 5 losses, you can hang me. Who knows what will happen with MSU since they only have one game left.

BSU typically plays 2 big schools a year and then one in a bowl game. They are 2-0 in BCS games and beat Oregon bad last season. Oregon was also in a BCS bowl game.

BSU plays within the system. They do everything that is asked of them and they dont get their shot. It is crap.

Are you suggesting they're a good team? They lost to James Madison at home.

top 10 team... no.
top 25 team... yes.

they wont get back into the top 10 this year. prolly finish the season 10-3 or 9-4 with the bowl game...im going to guess..

they will be ranked around 14-15
