Who said they were middle aged? The majority of crimes are committed by men and the majority of men in America are white (well at least until mid-21st century CA or TX). Hence, it's not all that surprising the suspects are white men.

Hehehehehe.. Why not.. They have found two 'Mid eastern looking' folks who keep running into the fire areas shouting 'Allah Akbar' but, they handed them a fire hose, some coffee and gave them a million each to rebuild their homes.

Actually, they blame the fire on a 'hunter' who was lost and was trying to alert his 'hunting' buddy by sending up smoke signals. The Forestry Service has him in custody.

If the Hunter did cause this fire, he's gonna lose his license for sure over this.
The good news is, however, that now that all the damage is about done the Federal Government has agreed to release tankers to put out the fires. It is good of them since we sent all our assets up north to help out there and they couldn't return to help San Diego. They say because it would have been dangerous due to the smoke. I guess they had a smokeless fire up north. The tankers should arrive at Point Magoo later today. Just in the nick of time, I recon!

all i did was ask a question, and reference two newspaper articles.

the news reports this evening seem to indicate these fires are much worse than usual for california, and that additional arson suspects are being looked for.

i don't know anything about what is going on in california (fires or otherwise), but i wondered if anyone else had read anything.

before the week is up, i suspect you'll be hearing this discussed on the network news shows.
