al qaeda and nuclear weapons

as it's the anniversary of hiroshima i want to ask will al qaeda or one its' franchises acquire a nuclear weapon of some sort in the future.are other people concerned about this prospect like me.what if anything can our intelligence services do to stop them in light of recent failings in regard to conventional attacks.
 
I don't think al qaeda has any clue what America would do to them if they tried. The world would just watch while we assassinated their leaders, family members, friends, and anyone who was involved.

the terrorists could be 'home grown' as in london recently and might try to smuggle in a weapon from the old soviet union.some of these guys might be able to stay below the intelligence radar.

Unless you are a member of the military, law enforcement or intelligence communities, there isn't a hell of a lot you can do. So I think the best idea is to just not worry about it and let the professionals do their jobs. The only think you can really do is make sure to vote for people who you think will actually make us safer.

Al Qaeda cannot do anything. They are not powerful at all. They once numbered around 15,000-25,000. Their leaders are in hiding and many of their top leaders have been killed or captured. Their home bases have been destroyed. What is left? A bunch of guys running around hiding.

Foxnews likes to label every terrorist as being part of Al Qaeda because FoxNews knows their average viewers have an IQ of 100.

There are other organizations out there besides Al Qaeda.

If anyone disagrees with me go write your President, President Bush. Ask him why the U.S cannot take care of a terrorist organization that numbers in the thousands when we have millions of men dedicated to fighting them... wait .. we focused our attention on Iraq ..
