That crazy Gore kid is at it again. Maybe he should hook up with the Bush daughters and go clubbing.

Al Gore III, son of the former vice president, was arrested in California early Wednesday morning for driving under the influence of drugs.

Gore III was allegedly driving at speeds over 100 mph when he was pulled over in Laguna Hills in Orange County, Calif., south of Los Angeles. Police found marijuana and prescription drugs Xanax, Vicodin and Soma, public information officer Jim Armonino told KTTV in Los Angeles. Gore supposedly had no prescriptions for the pharmaceuticals.

Gore, 24, was being held in the men's jail in Santa Ana. This is the second time he was arrested on a marijuana possession charge. Police in Montgomery County, Md., pulled over Gore in December 2003 and noticed the smell of pot and open windows and sunroof despite the freezing temperature.

Gore and his two male passengers at the time were charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana and released. Gore was also ticketed for reckless driving by North Carolina police in August 2000, and military police arrested him for drunk driving near a military base in Virginia in September 2002.

Pull his license and do not let political pull get him back on the road where he can be a thread to others.

What do you mean? Based on his second DUI, he is now minimally qualified to serve as Vice President!

Give him some more beer and crack and he might be able to make a run for the White House.

I'll never understand these guys. If you have that much money, why don't you just hire a driver or at least a cab?

Not easy enough to stash your illegal drugs in a cab

Or he could make a sequel to Inconvenient Truth 😉

You mean like what was done to the Bush family:

Barbara and Jenna Bush (GWB's daughters): Underage drinking, public drunkenness, use of fake IDs. No arrests made.

Noelle Bush (Jeb's daughter): Crack possession, prescription fraud, shoplifting, contempt of court. One arrest, judge intervenes to prevent second arrest, served 13 days in jail.

George P. Bush (Jeb's son): Cited for burglary and criminal mischief. Victims refused to press charges.

Jeb Bush, Jr.: Sexual misconduct (having sex in public), resisting arrest. Four hours in custody.

Then there's Neil Bush, the president's brother, who defrauded investors out of billions that were covered by the taxpayers. The penalty? He was barred from ever working at another Savings and Loan.

So whats your point? Rich, powerfull, influential people and their kids can get away with anything? Quick, alert the press, this is breaking news!!!!

This guy needs some help.

Rehab at the least.
Jail if the law calls for it.

It sounds like it may take some jail time for him to get the message.
BTW Do you think this has any effect on Gore if he decided to run for President?

None whatsoever.

Al Gore Jr. is just like GWB---you can't reform and become born again unless you have lived the life of a drug addled wastrel. Now Al Gore Jr. just needs to hook up with a nice girl like Laura Bush and he too can become an instant hit with the religious right. Maybe he can hook up with one of the Bush girls and both can be born again. And have appeal as poster children of both parties.

Think of it as a new political dynasty---the GoreyBushes.

Well JD, you could have just as well been the second post in on the OP and said the same thing you said to me to jrenz about "his" post:

"So whats your point? Rich, powerfull, influential people and their kids can get away with anything? Quick, alert the press, this is breaking news!!!!"

Could you not?. Your response to me could be just as appropriate to the OP.

But you didn't. You will sit there and wait for someone to say the exact same thing about your "side". Like some devil's advocate policeman with a partisan moral compass. Just what is wrong with the political discourse in todays poitical world.

But I digress. My response does make me just as bad as you. Considering I don't know if jrenz had a partisan reason to post what he did.

Get it?

So, JD. I guess my "point" is: This was a test, and you passed with flying colors.
