Damnit Al, I love you and all but give it up!! Just let Bush have it man. I voted for you and all, but enough is enough:| The votes keep spreading further and further in Bush's favor and he's been ahead the whole time.

All of these legal battles are pointless...Dubayah is still gonna come out on top regardless.

All of this is just making yourself look bad for the election 4 years from now (which I'm sure that you will want to run in). We don't forget so easily, so STOP making a fool of yourself. Just let it go!

If you win, they will never let you live it down. It will haunt you for the rest of your presidency! Go quietly into the night and plant yourself back into the moist soil in the rain forest until next election comes around...

Gore is up by 70-something votes (*unofficially*) in the recounts that are being done in 3(4?) counties. Bush is up by ~900 overall.

Um, I don't think Al Gore reads anandtech, though you never know.... ;)

But I agree, this is getting ridiculous. I just wish it was over already one way or the other.

When CNN announced that Gore had conceded victory to Bush, I thought for a fleeting instant that maybe, just maybe Gore was a good loser. Of course I was wrong, but he didn't have to rub my nose in it...

I'm trying to keep score in the hand recount of the 3 counties only. Gore up by 76 total there, but down by 930 elsewhere -- but read that thread for my oppinion on latest developements.

I have always suspected that NFS4 possessed great intellect. He has now confirmed this hunch.

Republicans, please give up.

You have already lost the confidence of the majority of the American people. Let the laws take their course.

If Bush wins, the majority of America will feel sadness and sorrow from the day of him inaguration.

Thom;

<... I am still too busy laughing at america making a dick of itself over this...>

Hmmm, seems you Brit's have been suckin' at the U.S. trough since we twice saved your pansy bacon earlier this century. I imagine your resentment is based on a national inferiority complex based on the impossible wish of being as rich and internationally powerful as us. ;)

Laugh, if you like, but you're still a second-rate international and economic power confined to a small island in a very cold, miserable part of the Atlantic Ocean.

Go ahead and brag if it makes you feel important. ;)

:)

Want some more tea? :p

It's only a matter of time before some of the high-ranking Democrats start putting the squeeze on Gore to drop all this.

You would have to give them airfare to the US for them to use that one. :D

NFS4,

That is quite an honorable statement you make there. I don't think there are a lot of voters that would say the same about their candidate in such a situation.

Even if the situation were reversed, and Bush was in the same situation... I would want him to have conceded the election already. It is bad for America in general.

I dont know why he should give up when there are still a few Thousand un-accointed votes... maybe 3/4 of them are for him.. so i dont see why he should give up until the last vote is counted

What unaccounted votes? Everything's been recounted, up to four times in some places.
