Bingo.. And in this case, the US auto makers falling so far behind in developing fuel efficient and alternative energy cars, because it was easier to keep making SUVs and hoping people would buy them. Or utility companies that argue technology doesn't exist to reduce CO2 emissions from coal plants when its already being used in many areas and proven to work.

The US use to thrive on the cutting edge. Now, we just play catchup on so many things because we lack the will to better.

I meant candidates for the Noble Prize, not for president. Stop trying to start stuff :)
