Pointless waste of time, we already know how everyone is going to vote. I'd take a nap too.

As for me, I loved the cited Nick link, a Fox news clear unfair and unbalanced hit piece against Al Franken written by Joseph Abrams. As as we scroll to the bottom, Fox wonders why, "It is unclear whether Franken shares that sentiment about the hearings or was simply bored by the proceedings. Sen. Franken's office
did not return calls or e-mails seeking comment."

Is anyone at Fox news so delusional as to think Al Franken should or would dignify that idiot article with a comment???????????

Or I could point out one serial doodler was a fellow named John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

How? By serving his state well? Yeah, sorry he isn't running around like a raving lunatic like your heroes declaring the end is neigh!

Having worked in the political arena for a number of years, I can tell you that committee hearings are so ungodly boring, especially ones that are going to be televised widely because it just encourages people to talk longer. I'd say 99% of the people in attendance, both elected officials or not, are generally doodling, surfing the internet, or doing any number of other things to pass the time.

Nick asks," Why so serious?"

And I ask Nick, why are you OP on such a dumb pointless thread in the first place?

I don't think the sketch is all that bad, but I don't necessarily see the Jeff Sessions resemblance. As long as he is paying attention to what is being said, WTF cares if he doodles? How many people in modern classrooms, even boardrooms, do the same? All sound and fury, as usual...

Who cares if he's paying attention? Democrats (and Lindsay Grahamnesty) are going to vote for her because she's an ideologue who will advance progressive issues at the expense of the Constitution. Republicans are going to vote against her because she's an ideologue who will advance progressive issues at the expense of the Constitution. Both parties are simply interested in pursuing their own agendas. Everyone knows this. These hearings could be dispensed with entirely without affecting the results one tot. Most of each question is a statement for or against her which could just as easily be made as a floor speech when everyone is gone except for a few waiting to make their own floor speeches. When the sham no longer fools the populace there is no point to even pretending to consider her qualifications or lack thereof, just check that she meets the bare minimum (close, but she squeaks in) and hold the damned vote.

And as much as I hate the idea of the vapid and dishonest political creature being raised to the highest court for life, I can't support a filibuster either. The Senate has a Constitutional duty to vote on a president's nominees, and it needs to do its duty even when the president sends them a turd. If as now we elect senators who will polish that turd for their guy at the expense of the country, well, then we have the government we deserve.

But But But it made the national news, Franken has offered to donate his portrait to Sessions, God only knows how valuable that art work may become in the future to the right set of collectors.

Since I am not a Hezbollah member I can only note Sinsear has no sense of intelligence, honesty, or sincerity.

Sort of like when I can't decide if I want pizza or tacos, sometimes god can't decide if he wants a man or a woman
