Akward Windows question

I typically work in linux environment, but end up playing tech support for my parents windows machine and I can't solve the current problem.

Every time an internet browser is opened, Adobe Acrobat loads and tries to install. Not sure what is going on or more importantly, how to fix it.

Any suggestions?

Either turn off the Adobe browser helper object (IE plugin) from IE, or try reinstalling Adobe. Sounds like the install get hosed..
