I have had the same problem with 3 PCs all based on the AOpen AK73 Pro motherboard - the PC will not boot if anything is connected to the parallel port (3 different HP printers in this case).
The only solution is to disconnect the printer, boot up the PC and reconnect the printer. Everything is OK after that unless you switch everything off at the mains sockets, then the problem appears again.
I've tried AOpen's tech support and my suppliers - no luck with either :disgust:
Anybody got any ideas about what might be causing this?
Thanks in advance 🙂
