Ok guys here is the scoop. I have an OEM ATI AIW Radeon DDR AGP. Now I download the latest drivers from ATIs site and installed those and also the 7.2 multimedia center. I am running XP pro final build. Now from the get go I could not run 3dmark2000 or 2001 and IE6, games everything would lockup or corrupt. Well I noticed after installing powerstrip that my card is by default is running at 164/198 and I dont know why. I checked the bios version and it says Bios Version 001.001.000.060 Bios Date 01/23/2001. I have tried so many things I have lost track. This is what I know.

3dmark wont run all the way through
I have tried agp4x and 2x
fast writes disabled
tried 140x10=1400 and 133x10=1333
My Mobo is a Epox 8K7A (any known problems?)
I can run UT in D3d with no problems
All opengl games such as Quake 3, Retunr to Castle wolfenstein, Max Payne start fine but have artifacts all over screen and eventually crash to desktop or create blue screen stop error and reboot.

maybe my bios is messed up or something and if that is the case if someone could email the needed bios to me at ellandry@bellsouth.net I would be most appreciative. If anyone needs me to test anything else I will. Also here is a list of my IRQs there are sharings but nothing with the AIW. Also since I am using XP I have not installed any of the VIA drivers. Also my Icons on my desktop looked corrupted like they are melted. Please Help me guys I want this card to work right.

Jedi,
I'm no expert in the video card arena, but I have been experiencing a similar compatibility
issue using the following setup:
Windows XP
Epox 8kha+
Athlon 1700+
Gainward GeForce 2 TI/450

I've tried drivers from Gainward, NVIDIA, and VIA, and they all produce the same
scrambled screen or just reboots.

Seems like this is a know issue with various combinations of XP and NVIDIA. I haven't read much
of the specifics, but here is a link to VIA's forum

mine did the same,
mine was a heat issue ,
i set the temp shut off higher installed 2 case fans and that solved my problems.

also try running it 800-600 16 bit colors,
thats all mine would run without locking up:);)
