AIW Radeon 9700 Question

Just a quick one...in the Anandtech review it mentions that people with satellite or digital cable will get better results...but everything I've read so far says that it can't be used with digital cable. I'm thinking of getting the AIW and digital cable, so I really need to know what the verdict is. Does anyone know? Thanks.

you still need the digital cable box,but like every other tv card it will work.

you will set the tv channel to three and use the digital box remote to change channels.

this is how my ati aiw radeon worked

Ok that makes sense...but then another question...if you feed the AIW from the digital/satelite box, does the tuner on the AIW even do anything? Can you change channels from it? I want to use it for recording, and if it can't switch channels itself it's useless.

Were you able to get the Radeon to record then, at different times? Or because you couldn't use the Radeon to change channels was that screwed?

not really if you change from channel 3 then you lose reception.
but on the other hand the 9700 aiw is supposed to be enhanced in recording mpeg2 etc...
