Anyone here dealt with AIT shipping service through newegg? I ordered a TV last night and I'm hoping they're fast. They are estimating 7 days for delivery and they're one state away.

My old 50" vizio plasma went kaput on friday so I've been hunting for a new TV. After visiting every retail store in the world and finding no great bargains, I reluctantly ended up ordering online...reluctantly because I have no TV and while buying online saves a buttload in tax $, shipping a TV can take a while and ME WANT TV NOW. One of the main reasons I went with Newegg is because they ship really quick, at least they did in the past. Didn't know they were using a 3rd party for some items now (probably been doing it a long time).

So the sooner the better. They didn't offer any expedited shipping options. It was only $30 to ship, which is pretty good for a million pound TV.

Honestly? Buy from Amazon. I bought all 3 of my plasmas online -- 1 from Newegg and 2 from Amazon. The one time I used Newegg for the TV I had lots of issues with shipping whereas it was painless with Amazon. I don't want to go into the long story of my ordeal with Newegg, but I finally went to where the TV was being held (a Towne Air Freight facility in Indy) and picked it up.

I bought my last TV from Dell. They had a very good deal on a Panasonic 50" plasma...and it was about $200 cheaper than anyone else. Came with free delivery. I had the set in less than a week.
Just checked their site...not great deals this week.

Good to know, thanks. Did it come before the estimated arrival date or don't remember?

95% of the TVs I looked at on Amazon also used 3rd party sellers/shippers. I guess it's the thing to do with big items I guess. No doubt Newegg and Amazon are very fast shipping smaller things. With a 3rd party it's anyone's guess.

They're just fine.

The TV will be delivered to your closest AIT local shipping center and they will call you to set-up the delivery.
