Turn on CNN, they're about to show an airstrike on a structure live! A unit of the Republican Guard is inside!

Update: What the hell was that? They were showing the building, then switched the camera to that same building, but with smoke rising from it, and claimed the strike happend "off-camera"? Things don't add up here.

Unknown so far. There was talk of surrender, but it looks like they changed their mind. Nearby troops are getting pulled out.

I'm 100% behind the war and think it should have started months ago, but doesn't this seem wrong to anyone that they're broadcasting a strike live?

Well, it's going to happen whether they're going to show it or not. I don't see the harm in this... and it shows that the targets are military and precised.

But yeah, it's a little 'tense' as they're saying.

It's all just a mind game. Wouldn't you be scared if you were fighting the americans and all of a sudden they ran and hid? I would DEFINATELY reconsider that whole surrender thing.

;)

Glad someone mentioned this

This has got to have a much more serious effect on "Desensitizing our Children to Violence and Killing" than anything Hollywood could put out.

No that wasn't it. The big smoke was from earlier. The poping sounds were mortar to mark the target

It's live on most news channels in the world right now. If the people inside have a radio, they should be able to listen to this, because it's on the Muslim channels as well.

True. However, we all have a choice - we can either continue to watch or turn it off. Actually, though, I am quite surprised at how close to a lot of the incidents the media has gotten (including them being on-board military vehicles and filming from them as they head into Baghdad.)

so real people dying and possibly showing the gruesomeness of real war is worse than seeing nick cage get shot in the shoulder and not even spun around a bit in con air

What kind of sh*tty parents have their kid up at this hour watching war footage?
