I brought a wii on my last flight. But it's built pretty well. I think the TSA lady wanted to confiscate it and take it home because she was really eyeing it up.

And yes, carry-on. No way it would survive in my checked luggage.

No it's not safe. The millions of business travelers that go through airport security with their business laptops, and the millions of everyday people that take their iPods with them on the plane all buy new devices upon arrival to their destination city each time they fly.
