Airlink Print Server woes

I bought an Airlink 101 USB wired print server in order to network my Samsung ML-1740 printer. After configuring the IP etc., I'm able to print a test page from Windows by doing a print test page in the printer properties page.

HOWEVER.. it takes like 10 minutes to do so. And as soon as it does this, it gives me a wondows error! If I report this error to Microsoft (using auto reporting), the diagnosis holds "McAffee Network Associates Inc.) responsible. I've wasted a lot of time on this ... Any suggestions .. Thanks in advance!!
