Saw this in San Diego Fry's and picked one up. I haven't been in the wireless router arena for a while so I'm not sure about how *hot* this deal really is...

Item Link on Fry's.com

Orig Price: $59.99 (take that with a grain of salt)
Sale Price: $24.99

Total for me in San Diego: $26.93

Looks like there was some discussion about this on Slickdeals a while ago with generally good reviews.

Bottom line looks like a decent deal on an N router.

I've picked up the AR680W (different model!) Airlink draft N router for similar prices at Frys. The firmware for the AR680W is kind of horrible with some port forwarding and DHCP static MAC assignment bugs and others that AFAIK are still unresolved. I don't know if the AR670W firmware has similar problems, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they did use very similar firmware since the AR670W almost seems to be a cost-reduced (for them not for us) replacement for the AR680W with similar designs overall.

Anyway I would not rely on AirLink firmware for very stable / perfectly implemented features, but for basic uses where you are not using too many of the relatively less common firmware features it probably will work well as a basic router.

The interesting news is that DD-WRT is working on supporting the AR670W with their 3rd party firmware (which, when eventually released, might be expected to be MUCH better than Airlink's.).

Same in Los Angeles / OC, through Tuesday. Ad doesn't say which model#, tho. If anyone can confirm the model, OP can update the title.

It is the AR670W (150N), same model as OP. Ad shows the item number ( #5596590 ) that you can use to cross reference with their website.

All out in downers Grove, IL. They have 0 on hand and don't do rain checks. this is the FIRST day of the sale ending Friday. Sorta crappy policy if you ask me.

They also have airlink N adapters (usb, PCI, PCMCIA) for $15.

I would totally send a $20 router to get better firmware if I had one.

Bummer. CA Fry's always used to do rainchecks unless the ad mentions otherwise. Dunno if that policy changed.
