hey i no this is a stupid question but what would be the best airflow in general? inward air from front inward heatsink fan, then outward chassis fan?

In from front lower intake-->out to upper/mid rear exhaust. This is generally the most common/best airflow path and when properly set up creates a "wind tunnel" effect that runs by/over the cpu HSF in an ATX setup.
