My dad was on the RC (and the B-52) for most of his Air Force career, much of which was from Offutt.

Did he have any good stories from being on them? Like having missiles shot at them.

Not that he ever told me. Doesn't mean it didn't happen, though.

Great pic's, but no B-29's..................... :)

Damn...B-19. My bad.

There was a B-52 on the ground, but it was so big I couldn't possibly get the thing in frame with my lens. I didn't want to swap it out with a wider angle one.

They had some A-10's on display. I was hoping they were going to fly one or two of those...no dice though.

A friend and I though it would have been awsome if they put some old junkyard cars out and ripped them apart with the Warthogs.

Didn't happen :p

Awesome. A B2 Bomber.

I was at an airshow once where they announced that a B2 would do a fly by and told everyone to look in the direction it would come from. Then they played the sound of a jet flying by and told everyone it'd gone by but they didn't see anything because it was a "stealth" bomber. I was a bit pissed by the hoax.

Thanks for the compliments :)

I'm just glad I finally had a really good opportunity to stretch the legs of an $800 camera and a $650 lens.

I couldn't imagine trying to pull off some of those shots with my old P&S G3.

It's hard to aim an 18" lens at said hottie and not get slapped in the back of the head by my wife sitting right next to me.

:D

At least she's slapping you in the back of the head, not in the camera.
