Run to it quick, before tank gets there. I'll take out the boomers and hunters with my shotty, but I need 3 people to have my back with rifles.

Trying to look at the tail. I may know this one if that's the C-17 pictured. Those in the AF, is that the color for Charleston AFB?

Consider the context. A breaking news story. They had so few details they got everything wrong.

Reports that a C-17 transport plane crashed in Texas were incorrect, an Air Force spokesman told CNN affiliates.

DHOOO!

No, we're just reporting it.

CNN

Search called off after plane crash deemed false

Emergency crews called off a search in Texas for the wreckage of a C-17 transport plane after reports Monday of a possible crash proved unfounded.

Callers to the Olney Police Department said they saw a low-lying plane, and a spokesman for Sheppard AFB initially reported a crash, but then retracted the report.

Air Force officials said an Air Force C-17 had been flying at low altitude near Olney, but the plane returned safely to Altus Air Force Base in southwest Oklahoma

One sentence per paragraph: check.
Simplistic writing: check.
Bad news: check.

Yep, techs must work for CNN now.
